Have you every listen to the voice in your head that speaks to you? It's mind boggling how negative it can really be. Becoming aware of the negative voice and changing it takes practice, but all so doable.
Bridget Shaw also suggests in step two it's a good idea to have a Mantra. There are different types of Mantras and my good friend and business partner Marilyn Pierce shared with me one that Grail Springs in Bancroft, ON uses. It's a series of movements that open your chakras and lets in love as well as releases it.
It's absolutely stunning to witness it, but even more so to actually do it is life changing. It always amazes me that when I do this Mantra it humbles me and makes me cry every time...Amazing!
Step Two - Change the Negative to Positive in Everything They Do!
Encourage them to change the negative language to positive language. Every time you hear them utter words that don't follow their plan, ask them nicely to rephrase it. You will have to listen carefully. Eventually you will be able to pick out all the little negative, self defeating words and eventually they will stop saying them. Positive affirmative statements are what you want to hear. Start with "I am well and happy!". Smiling is huge!
I would continually remind her that she was healing. Everything she was doing was bringing her closer to her goal of being well. Any little improvements were worthy of an award.
Envisioning wellness and creating three word mantras helped to keep her goals clear in her mind.
Mantras are repeating three words that reflect the goal. Pick three words,I AM HAPPY, HEALTHY AND FIT and then repeat them several times a day. You can change the words to whatever you like and repeat them often.
Eliminating the negative people from you life is also really important. Doctors, relatives and friends that are discouraging will set them back. I have seen progress in healing be destroyed by negative people in a very short time.
Is their doctor supportive, encouraging their efforts to get well, and does he/she understand the importance of HOPE? My friends stopped taking drugs specialists provided and was able to find a doctor open to her alternative journey. The treatments he was giving her were making her sicker and she was developing other symptoms from the treatments plus there was no hope.
The alternative healers were very hopeful that full recovery was possible. Just hearing those words make a world of difference.
