We spend most of our lives talking to "God". "God" this, "God" that, why did you let this happen, why did you let that happen? Why didn't you help me? Why didn't you save my friend? On and on we talk, natter, complain to "God". Many of us feel that our questions go unanswered.
Let me ask you this. Have you ever truly "listened" to "God"? This is not something we are taught to do. We learn prayer, but what are we doing in this? Are we asking for help, forgiveness, money, and health? Are we telling "God" all of our problems? Do we ever give "God" a chance to answer?
So how do we learn to "listen" to God? It's simple. It's called "Meditation". Our higher selves; "God" is within us, around us, is us, and in order to connect with "God" one must learn to listen. This can be done through learning the power of meditation. Only when we can truly quiet the mind, learn to focus on breath can we connect with our "higher selves", "God".
There is a wonderful organization called the Art of Living (a non profit organization who's focus is to bring healing to our world). Art of Living (AOL) has a group of volunteers who teach meditation, yoga, Ayurveda and so much more in a 152 countries. Their Art of Breathing Meditation Course known as the Sudarshan Kriya is an introductory level meditation course and is offered in Winnipeg and Steinbach. This course teaches you to quiet the mind by learning to breath. It's benefits are amazing, and yes you'll be able to listen to "God".
The degree to which stress unduly influences our lives is generally underestimated: Often the mind clings on to anger, guilt, or regret about the past, or is plagued by anxiety and worry about the future.
