Can you believe it?  We are into our 5th season hosting concerts in conjunction with Home Routes.  We have seen some amazing artists perform in our living room from Catherine MacLellan to Suzie Vinnick just to name a few.

Our next upcoming concert artist is Sierra Noble, yes you heard me Sierra Noble is coming to the Calder House.  Well we knew going into this one that tickets would sell really fast.  However, we were not expecting to sell 60 tickets.  That's an amazing number considering we can only sit 30.  So thankfully we have wonderful neighbors who have graciously lent us their bigger living space and we'll be able to host in the comforts of their home.  Thank you Andy and Paula!

This concert is SOLD OUT!  Sorry for all those that didn't reserve first.  Here some info about Sierra, you might want to catch her the next time she is in town.

Sierra Noble has been one of Winnipeg, Manitoba’s most promising young talents since releasing her first instrumental album at age 14. Well known for most of her life as a fiddle virtuoso who breezes through numerous styles of music with stunning ease, Sierra’s breadth of experience in music and in life at 22 is impressive.  But, she has never been one to rest on her laurels. Encouraged by fellow  musicians to sing, at age 17 Sierra decided to try her hand at writing songs. Her journey as a singer-songwriter has proven to be off to a promising start.  Although relatively new to the American public, Sierra’s music has taken her around the world, touring in Asia, Europe, North and South America. Sierra’s shows captivate audiences with compelling mood setting performances creating an atmosphere where stunning instrumentals and hook laden pop songs exist in perfect harmony. Those same performances have brought opportunities such as opening for Paul McCartney, Kid Rock, Bon Jovi, as well as performing in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, and for the Queen of England.  Her songs speak of universal themes of love, longing, and discovery wrapped in infectious melodies and delivered with sincerity and conviction. Her voice,
a study in gorgeous contradictions – wonderfully pure yet layered with subtle, smoky tones.
Sierra’s music grabbed the attention of the Television industry with placements in hit TV shows such as; One Tree Hill, (Possibility and I Can See), Life Unexpected, (Possibility), Switched at Birth (Human After All and I Can See), and most recently, Parenthood, (Human After All). Sierra is now spending most of her time in New York City where a fateful chance meeting with legendary Grammy Award winning producer, Russ Titelman (Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Steve Winwood, Randy Newman, Rickie Lee Jones) fueled an immediate creative chemistry.
