She's cute, friendly, funny and incredibly intelligent! She knows a lot about everything and anything. You could call her a social media guru of sorts. She can take you on a tour through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and her own blog. In fact she's probably blogging as we speak.
Who is she, well her name is Robyn of course from BC. What is she doing? Well she is traveling all over our province to EXPERIENCE it! Robyn has been to Riding Mountain, Gimili, Hecla, Whiteshell, Steinbach, Churchill and Winnipeg (only to name a few) experiencing anything from Ukrainian bread, dog sledding, to Rain drop Therapy.
It takes an outsider (Robyn from BC) to express in writing through social media what a diverse, beautiful, delicious, exciting province we have. I'm serious, have you ever really looked around you to appreciate the beauty that surrounds you in the incredible province we have called Manitoba.
Robyn has been on the road since early July EXPERIENCING our "friendly Manitoba" and having an absolute blast. She's taken several hundreds of photos and hoping to share all the good ones with our province through Travel MB.
Take the time to see our surroundings through the eyes of an outsider. Follow Robyn and her stories with Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and blog. You might surprise yourself and learn to be proud of what our wondrous province we call home has to offer.
This past summer Grant and I had the honor and privilege to host a group of folks from NDTV filming a very popular cooking show called "Vicky goes VEG".
The television network decided to take their show on the road to Canada and created a series called " Vicky goes healthy in Canada!"
When Chef Vicky Ratnani arrived at the Calder House, he became very excited and expressed that this was a dream come true for him and absolutely needed to cook in our kitchen. He just LOVED our house and what it had to offer. So the NDTV troupe made an impromptu decision to film a segment here in our kitchen. I'd never been someone sous-chef before, but let me tell you it was hard work and an awesome experience. According to chef Vicky my kitchen has EVERYTHING a chef could ask for and more.
Many business were featured from the south eastern region of Manitoba: Stonelane Orchard Nursery & Market Garden, Nadeau's Bison Farm, The Ridge International Cannabis Consulting, St. Norbert's Farmers Market and Benjamin's Gourmet Foods (restaurant) in Selkirk.
We are forever grateful to the whole gang from India for the wonderful experience and to those who brought them to the Calder House.
